We in Craddockstown Golf Club are proud of what we have achieved during our short history. We have set out to deliver a top class golfing experience complemented by friendly and efficient service from our administrative bar and catering staff. We hope that your visit will be a memorable and enjoyable one.
In March 1991, just under 100 pioneering members signed up and committed to the dream of owning their own course. The Committee bought 142 acre stud farm on the Blessington Road just outside the town of Naas and commissioned Arthur Spring to design an 18-hole golf course.
In 1992, the name of the club was formalised as Craddockstown Golf Club and in 1994 our original course was opened.
In 1999, with membership and reputation growing the club opened its clubhouse.
In 2003, not satisfied to rest on our laurels, the Committee with considerable moral and financial support from the membership set its sights on improving the course. Roger Jones (designer of the famous Ring of Kerry golf course) was commissioned to re-design the existing course which involved changes to almost every hole. Although built on a fine tract of gently undulating land and with plenty of natural water, the course did not present the sort of challenge members and visitors alike were increasingly demanding from a course.
The official opening of the new course on the 19th June 2004 saw changes to almost every hole including two new greens, several new lakes, 20 new tee boxes and 15 new fairway bunkers. Members and visitors alike have been unanimous in their praise for the new par 72 layout that has transformed the course into a real golfing challenge.
